Disabled Access

Pedestrian access is via St Johns Road.

Access via Catherine Road is for vehicular use only.

There is a very small surgery car park which is strictly for the use of Permit Holders, patients displaying a Blue Badge and taxi drop off/pick up only before 4pm each day. After 4pm all patients may use the car park if there are free spaces. All patients using the car park do so entirely at the car owners’ risk.

Other patients and visitors can use the 2 hour free parking bays in Catherine Road or Link Road. We ask all of our patients to park considerately and not to block any driveways/access ways or cause a nuisance to any of neighbours.

Access – Additional Information

Consulting rooms are on the ground floor. Doors into the foyer and reception area have additional opening panels for wide wheelchairs, pushchairs, trolleys etc. If you would like these panels to be opened to facilitate your access to the surgery, or if you would like assistance for any other reason, please ring one of the call bells beside the entrance doors.

We also have a wheelchair available for use within the surgery: please ask at Reception. We have a visual display which will show your name and which room you should go to when the Doctor or nurse is ready to see you. If you are not able to read or see this display easily, please ask at reception and a receptionist will alert you when it is your turn.

We have an induction loop system for those with hearing difficulties and who use a hearing aid with “loop” facility. Again, please ask at Reception.

Our toilet facilities include one that is accessible with a wheelchair and one that includes a baby changing facility.

We will always make a room available, if it is needed, for confidential discussions, for a distressed patient who would rather not wait in the waiting room, or for a patient who suspects they have an infectious illness such as German measles.
