Changes to our Integrated Care System (ICS)

You may have seen in the news last week that Berkshire West ICS has now joined with Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire health teams to become a new ICS which will be known as BOB ICS.

BOB ICS will serve 1.8million people and its formation marks a major milestone for partnership working across the region.

All the area’s NHS and local government Chief Executives have signed the BOB ICS application. This strengthens their commitment to work in close partnership to provide the highest quality health and social care to the people they serve.

Locally, Berkshire West has been an early pioneer of integrated care systems working, and the new BOB ICS will continue to build on, and develop, the progress we’ve already made in delivering health and care services as locally as possible and in the most joined up and cost effective way.

There’s full details of the BOB ICS initiative on the NHS England news release.

David Clayton-Smith has been appointed to the role of Independent Chair of the new BOB ICS. He brings a wealth of health care experience to the role, full details about his appointment are available here.
