Surgery Coronavirus Update

Hopefully everyone is now seeing some of the benefits of being able to see some of your loved ones again, even if it is at a distance. With the relaxing of the lockdown rules, the surgery is beginning to bring back some routine work.

We have reintroduced B12 injections, cervical screening and where clinically appropriate, joint injections. Long term condition reviews and medication reviews are being conducted by telephone where possible.

To protect both staff and patients we have had to introduce new measures as the surgery gets busier:

You must not attend the surgery in person unless you have a pre-booked face to face appointment or are collecting medication. Please contact us by phone or use the website form.

If you arrive by car you will be asked to wait in your car for your appointment. The clinician will call on your mobile when they are ready to see you. This avoids having too many patients in the waiting room at one time. Please allow 20 minutes before calling us to let us know you have arrived, they may have been delayed by a previous appointment.

You must wear a face covering when you attend for a face to face appointment with a clinician.

Please use the one way system within the building to prevent crossover in the entrance.

We are now planning how the service might look in the coming months and will update you as things change.

Please continue to observe the collection times for the collecting of medication, between 10:00 and 12:30 and 14:30-18:15.

Finally beware of track and trace scams. At no point will you be asked for money by a genuine NHS call handler for this service. It is totally free. Do not give any bank details or any personal details relating to social media accounts. You will be directed to the .gov public health website.

Your continued cooperation and understanding during this pandemic are much appreciated.
