Dear Patients
We have been made aware of an incident at another West Berkshire Practice, where a patient received a call from NHS 111 pretending to be a Doctor from their surgery. The patient was offered a prescription and was asked for bank details to cover the delivery cost of the medication. The bank account was debited several times for different amounts before the patient realised and cancelled their card.
Please be aware that Eastfield House will NEVER phone a patient to ask for bank details or card details.
